We are privileged to work with a talented and motivated team who make a difference in the wider community. slca values and rewards the contribution our team makes and is proud to sponsor a number of community organisations.

Scarboro Surf Lifesaving Club – slca provides valuable equipment used to patrol one of the most popular beaches in WA.

slca is proud to be associated with the National Heart Foundation and their commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of our community.

slca has provided pro bono services to charities, including:

  • Toybox International, a charity dedicated to raising funds to assist and benefit sick and disadvantaged children.
  • Ground Water for People, a not for profit organisation that provides necessary financial resources and technical support for vulnerable communities to provide safe and sustainable water supplies.
  • The Duke of Edinburgh Awards, an international organisation that runs leadership programs for young Australians aged between 14 and 25.
Industry Involvement

slca has a significant commitment to “giving back” to the accounting profession and in particular the superannuation industry. We are regular presenters at seminars, conferences and business forums for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, The Tax Institute, the Self Managed Professional Association, the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia and the Television Education Network.

Sharyn Long was the chairman of SPAA from 2009 to 2012. Sharyn serves on a number of high-level ATO consultative committees. She also has been a member of a number of Treasury working groups and project advisory groups in respect of legislative and regulatory changes in the industry.

We are regular commentators and contributors to technical publications on superannuation.
